>> Miss.>> A U.S. judge has dismissed a lawsuit by adult actress Stormy Daniels. Who claims President Donald Trump defamed her on Twitter earlier this year. The tweet in question was posted in April, after Daniels came forward saying she had been threatened by a man in 2011. To keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.
The U.S. President suggested that she was lying about that incident, calling it quote, a total con job. On Monday, the court sided with Trump's lawyers who claimed that the tweet included an opinion. And that the president was protected by free speech laws. Daniels has also been ordered to pay his attorney's fees, but her lawyer says they will appeal the decision.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. She's also sued over $130,000 hush money agreement over the alleged affair. Which Trump first denied, but later admitted to reimbursing his lawyer Michael Cohen for the payment.
