the new defense and aerospace giant is in the making Raytheon and United technologies Corp all set to merge that would create a company worth about one hundred and twenty one billion dollars and bought the biggest ever merger in the sector United technologies Corp is best known for its Pratten Whitney aircraft engines lay power fighter jets like this while the company is also a major maker of systems for commercial airliners the firm is spinning off its Otis elevators business so that it can concentrate on air space , Raytheon is big in defense electronics and weapons including the tomahawk cruise missiles used in so many US attacks the two firms all you there is little overlap in their businesses and hope that means regulators won't be opposed ambos and Boeing could pose a danger though the two Titans may not like the idea of a merger between two of the biggest suppliers even so Raytheon and United technologies hope the deal will be completed in the first half of twenty twenty the new company to be cold Raytheon technologies
