a stampede of screaming Toronto raptors fans ran in fear on Monday , kicking up a cloud of dust at the shots were fired in the middle of the city's NBA championship festivities a crowd of close to two million flooded the streets to celebrate Canada's first ever NBA title but the party was soon marred by shooting that seriously wounded two people the gun shots rang out near Nathan Phillips square the parades final destination causing hundreds of people to scatter for cover , Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was in attendance along with Canadian born rap artist Drake one of the team's most prominent and outspoken fans Toronto police said two people were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries to others were taken into custody and to firearms were recovered an investigation into the shooting is on going
