anti abortion advocates protested outside Missouri's only abortion clinic Tuesday awaiting a judge's decision on whether the Planned Parenthood clinic can remain open Missouri officials refused to renew the clinics license as it was about to expire last week but a court state has allowed the facility to stay open for now if the clinics license is not renewed Missouri will become the only state in the US without an abortion clinics since the supreme court's landmark roe V. Wade decision in nineteen seventy three which legalized abortion nationwide and recognized a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy we're very concerned about this notion that people still don't know from day to day there on pins and needles about whether they can access states in legal abortion in their home state the judge says he will work quickly to decide in the case protesters Stacey Washington says she had an abortion but later regretted it Anna speaking out so women are aware of other options our goal as a pro life movement is to use your women to other avenues where they would be supported , Missouri is one of nine states that have passed restrictive abortion laws this year all are expected to face court challenges
