> Kim Jong-un sang high praise of Donald Trump on Thursday, saying that he believes in the US president, and his way of thinking. According to state media, the North Korean leader said he would trust Trump's approach after receiving a letter from him about the two leaders' upcoming summit.
This comes after talks in Washington last week where a North Korean envoy met with President Trump. The White House then announced that a second summit would be held at the end of February.>> Kim Jong-un is looking very forward to it, and so am I. We've made a lot of progress that has not been reported by the media, but we have made a lot of progress.
>> No word on location yet, but it follows Kim and Trump's landmark meeting in Singapore last June in which they promised to work towards North Korea's denuclearization. Although progress since then has been been patchy. Earlier this month, Kim Jong-un even worn to North Korea could go down a new path if US sanctions and pressure continued.
But on Thursday, South Korean media reported Kim had made contact with South Korea's president promising a groundbreaking measure towards denuclearization.
