>> President Trump in a series of Sunday morning tweets, once again slam the investigation into Russian meddling and claimed without evidence that it was looking more and more like his 2016 campaign had been illegally spied on. The tweets come after his administration released top secret documents related to the surveillance of his former campaign advisor Carter Page.

Referring to the Page documents, Trump said, as usual they are ridiculously heavily redacted, but confirm with little doubt that the Department of Justice and FBI misled the courts, witch hunt rigged, a scam. But what Trump didn't mention on Sunday was how the documents laid out why the FBI was interested in Page.

According to the surveillance application filed in October 2016, the FBI said it, quote, believes that Page has been collaborating and conspiring with the Russian government. It also said Page, quote, has established relationships with Russian government officials, including Russian intelligence officers. Page has denied being an agent of the Russian government and has not been charged with any crime.

Republican lawmakers have contended that the FBI made serious missteps when it sought a warrant to monitor Page, the main criticism being that it used material from the Christopher Steele dossier without telling the court that the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign had funded the research.>> The dossier has proven to be a bunch of garbage.

>> Last week a federal grand jury charged 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking democratic computer networks in the most detailed US accusation yet that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election to help the Republican candidate. Trump finish his string of tweets on Sunday by again arguing that the summit in Helsinki was actually a success saying, I had a great meeting with Putin and the fake news used every bit of their energy to try and disparage it.

So bad for our country.
