>> R&B singer R Kelly was dropped by his label Sony Music, Friday, according to multiple media reports following the release of the explosive docuseries Surviving R Kelly that aired on the Lifetime Network earlier this month. RCA records, owned by Sony Music, has also removed Kelly from its list of currently signed artists posted online.

The cable series detailed alleged abuse of multiple women by Kelly going back many years. An attorney for R Kelly has said the latest accusations of abuse by the Grammy-winning musician were, quote, a complete fabrication. Kelly was charged in 2002 with 21 counts of child pornography over a videotape prosecutors alleged showed him having sex with a 14 year old girl.

He was acquitted of all charges in 2008, after the young woman said to be on the tape refused to testify. The I Believe I Can Fly singer was a frequent collaborator with many of the industry's hottest stars during his decades in music. Only recently, artists like Chance the Rapper, Celine Dion, and Lady Gaga pulled their collaborations with Kelly from streaming platforms.
