I was honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with you as we make this country what New York City mayor bill de Blasio left Manhattan for Sioux city Iowa over the weekend making it all but certain he's planning a twenty twenty bid for the White House while not officially declaring his candidacy these are the rest of ideals applause you told a small crowd of Democrats that the party needs to return to its progressive roots and be more inclusive and said the last democratic candidates for president weren't able to make that happen Iraqi once a both Bernie is Hillary did and said some of the right things okay was not , %HESITATION effort to say okay everyone coming together , we must have that extraordinary grass roots reach very campaign we're together we can't go on without it as a party it was held at arm's length too much by the Clinton world well it's just the second month into twenty nineteen the list of the clear democratic candidates for president and twenty twenty has already reached double digits they and other Democrats likely to make a decision soon on whether to run or on the cover of time magazine's most recent issue the cover depicting the crowded field against president Donald Trump does not include the Blasio we have to change as a party last week to bless you took a very public stand against Amazon after the company withdrew its plan to build part of it's H. Q. two in New York City calling it an example of quote the one percent dictating to everyone else one percent when asked last week if he would campaign for Bernie Sanders he said quote I do not rule out any particular path for myself
