>> President Donald Trump's one-time campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, struck a deal Friday to plead guilty to the charges brought on by Special Counsel, Robert Mueller. The ex-Trump aide has agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy against the US and conspiracy to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses. Manafort's decision revealed in a Friday court filing came days before jury selection in Washington was set to begin.
Manafort will now avoid that trial. Still unclear is whether he will cooperate with Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. If he did, that would be a potential blow to the President.>> I feel very badly for Paul Manafort.>> 69-year-old Manafort is already facing eight to ten years in prison.
He was convicted last month on eight counts of fraud and failing to disclose foreign bank accounts. Manafort is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
