Kobach, the Kansas Secretary of State, now leads current governor, Jeff Colyer, by just 91 votes.>> This definitely shows why it's important that we have every vote counted. That we look and do our homework. Check everything twice. Both candidates have 41% of the vote in a contest which is also being seen as a test of Trump's popularity in the Midwestern state.
>> As many people know, I served as an advisor to President Trump during the 2016 election cycle.>> After a request from Colyer, Kobach telling CNN that he plans to recuse himself from the vote-counting process and would make a formal announcement Friday. There are still thousands of provisional and mail-in ballots left to count, and this newly discovered error likely to reinforce Colyer's resolve not to concede in this close primary race.
