>> Huawei's Global Chief Financial Officer Wanzhou Meng has been arrested in Vancouver on suspicion of violating US sanctions against Iran, the Globe and Mail newspaper reported on Wednesday. She was arrested on December 1st. Meng serves as one of the vice chairs on the Chinese technology companies board, and is the daughter of company founder, Ren Zhengfei.
Representatives of Huawei, one of the world's largest makers of telecommunications network equipment could not immediately be reached for comments by Reuters. The Canadian Justice Department says Meng is sought for extradition by the United States. She has a bail hearing set for Friday.
