>> US President Donald Trump has cancelled a planned meeting at the G20 with Russia's President Vladimir Putin over the recent escalation of the crisis with Ukraine. And Trump says the meeting is off until the situation is resolved. Ukraine accused Russia on Thursday of restricting shipping near Crimea as part of a de facto blockade of its ports on the sea of Azov.
But Russia insisting shipping traffic was moving normally. This comes after Moscow seized three Ukrainian Navy ships the weekend. It says it was acting against an illegal entry into Russian waters. Ukraine denies that its vessels did anything wrong. Azov Sea's home to major ports of both Russia and Ukraine and can only be accessed through the Russian controlled Kerch Strait.
Ukrainian's Infrastructure Minister accused Russia of barring ships from leaving and entering the sea via two ports. The Kremlin denied the claims, with Putin accusing Ukraine's President of orchestrating the latest crisis to boost his popularity.>>
And build a new early warning radar station there next year, according to the Interfax News Agency. Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. Ukraine introduced martial law in parts of the country after Sunday's incident. Some European politicians are calling for new sanctions against Russia as punishment. But diplomatic sources have said the divided block is not going to act swiftly, if at all.
