>> A golf course in Ames, Iowa now a crime scene after a champion golfer was found murdered there. Police say 22-year-old Celia Barquin Arozamena, the 2018 Big 12 Champion in Women's Golf was playing at the Coldwater Golf Links Monday morning when she was assaulted and killed. 22-year-old Collin Daniel Richards has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

>> But when they got to the 9th hole, they saw Barquin's golf clubs and cellphone on the green, although she was nowhere in sight. That's when they called the police.>> This was very strange and not right. There's no reason to abandon your clubs in the middle of the fairway.

>> Police say a body was found some distance from the bag. Investigators have not said how she died or if she knew the suspect. The young golfer was a native of Spain and played at Iowa State University. She had wrapped up her NCAA career in the spring, but was in school this semester to complete her civil engineering degree.
