>> It feels different, but in a good way.>> 11 year old Sophia Sanchez has a new heart after undergoing transplant surgery last week at Chicago's Laurie Hospital. And through the process, she's also found a new and very famous friend, rapper Drake. Sofia's been a Drake fan for years, but he only discovered her when he saw a video of her in August dancing to his song, In My Feelings.
She was in the hospital, waiting for a donor heart, hooked up to an IV, and looking clearly unwell. So he paid her a visit.>> My God.>>
Are you here to see me?>> Of course.>> My God. It was a dream to me, but it happened, and I'm really happy.
He said to stay strong and keep fighting and you will get through this.>> And get through it she did. After diagnosing her with cardiomyopothy, a condition that often leads to heart failure, doctors successfully completed the transplant. They say she's recovering well. Sophia's mother Natalie says she's relieved.
>> I'm grateful. So I have my daughter, I have a second chance at life.>> A second chance at life and Drake's phone number.
