Mourners gather in the West Bank at the funeral of a US born Israeli stabbed to death by a teenage Palestinian. 45 year old Arie Fuld, well known as a pro Israel advocate, was stabbed on Sunday in a shopping mall, in an area of Jewish settlements south of Jerusalem.
His 17 year old assailant was shot and wounded by an armed civilian and taken into custody. That, after several armed civilians including a bleeding Fuld gave chase. During Sunday's funeral, the victim's father praised his son's courage.>> He was a hero to all.>> Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid condolences to the victim's family on Twitter while western backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed the need for peaceful resistance.
Israeli settlements on occupied land that Palestinians claim for a state are considered illegal by most countries. But this is disputed by Israel.
