>> Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself.>> Roughly a year ago US President Donald Trump was hauling insults at Kim Jong-Un, with the North Korean leader responding by calling Trump a mentally deranged US dotard. But now, after a historic summit earlier this year, in which the two discussed de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula, Trump has taken his affection for Kim to new heights, even using the L-word.
>> We fell in love.>> At a campaign style rally in Wheeling, West Virginia Saturday night, Trump spoke of letters the two exchanged prior to their meeting.>> And we would go back in forth, and then we fell in love, okay? No really, he wrote me be beautiful letters, and they're great letters.
>> Those fuzzy feelings aside, Pyongyang now says there's no way it will disarm itself as long as the US keeps up sanctions. But US officials say the sanctions are staying put, until North Korea meets US demands to take irreversible steps to give up its arsenal. Meanwhile, the Trump administration says it's preparing for a second summit with Kim, the time and place to be determined.
While Trump fired up the crowd inside the West Virginia Arena, protestors outside took jabs at the President->> Lock him up!>> And his embattled Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. Trump is expected to travel to at least four more states this week, including Tennessee and Kansas, in support of Republican candidates ahead of November 6th mid-term elections.
