nnnnn she sounds spreading wildfires destroying forty five homes in alaska and threatening hundreds more forcing a series of evacuation the larger of the two fires started sunday afternoon and within eleven hours covered sixty five hundred acres of land fueled by dry windy conditions , the explosive placed up the sakai fired by officials rages just fifty miles north of anchorage in a region known for dog sledding , a second grass fire which started monday just south of the alaskan capital now spans six hundred and fifty acres officials say the larger fire was probably started by humans , cefic cause is being investigated , alaskan air tankers helicopters and firefighting teams are battling the blazes by air and ground , special crews from other states and canada arriving tuesday to assist local firefighters
