the four hundred and fifty new military advisors president obama is sent into iraq are not going over to fight islamic state but the pentagon says they will be stationed in the very heart of the combat zone warrant strobel is following the story i knew base that they will be occupying his call to column which is very much right on the road the main highway between , ramadi the provincial capital of m. r. and city of fallujah both of which are in the hands , state , so it is an area i'm potentially dangerous location i think exposes u. s. troops more than the current training location which is at a loss on air base , i'm also dangerous territory but sort of way out in the middle of the desert this is really right at the heart of the contested space , this step increases the danger and the stakes placing u. s. troops just fifteen miles from ramadi the u. s. faces problems reaching out to suny tribesmen in the area few of whom trust the shiite led government any more than they do islamic state this is our in m. r. province which is any majority provinces their territories their turf and they're really needed along with the general iraqi security forces , as part of an overall push in the weeks ahead to take back this major city , the plan is to have u. s. troops at the new base training new suny fighters as well as members of iraqi security forces bolstering about three thousand u. s. advisors already in the country and if all goes well top u. s. general martin dempsey says this could lead to more training hubs elsewhere , the announcement coming just days after president obama admitted the u. s. needed to train iraqi forces faster and lacked a full strategy to do so
