nnnnn after months of silence new england patriots quarterback tom brady gets his day in court , h. m. m. fell court that is , i'm reuters reporter conley get news at the n. f. l. headquarters in new york city where the four time superbowl champ is expected to try to convince commissioner roger goodell why the suspension over his role in the now infamous deflate gate should be overturned , reuter sports editor steve ginsburg it's a big deal i'm not just because a four game suspension is pick up a quarter of the n. f. l. season but more than that tom brady's legacy is at stake here he's no he's in the conversation as one of if not the greatest quarterback of all time , and essentially a conviction for cheating would not look good on his leg , brady who won't be paid while on suspension has other options if this hearing does not go is way brady is not successful in getting this appeal , half or perhaps a thrown out altogether he could take this to federal court , the n. f. l. does not have a good record recently having lost cases with ray rice and adrian peterson over domestic abuse cases so again fast appearances and falls record in in federal court it's been shaky recently so %HESITATION tom brady might want to go there and that threat might work in brady's favor with this whole scandal dragging on for six months , goodell might be just as ready to put this behind the league and decide to scale down the harsh suspension allow him to end it all while still sending out a message that the n. f. l. won't turn a blind eye to cheating
