>> An extensive search is underway for escape prisoner David Watson, last seen in Jessup, Maryland on Friday. 28 year old Watson, who is serving more than 100 years for attempted murder, fled upon arriving by van for his psychiatric evaluation.>> A guard opened the door after the van stopped in the parking lot and Watson, who was the only occupant, pushed the guard to the ground and ran into the woods.
We did find handcuffs and a waist chain on the scene. It's unconfirmed at this time whether or not he was wearing leg shackles when he was secured.>> Police say he was wearing all white clothing when he escaped. But after finding two articles of clothing in the woods, police say Watson could now be wearing something entirely different.
He's described as five foot eight, 140 pounds, and is considered dangerous. Neighbourhood residents say they'll stay on alert.>> So my doors will be locked tonight, I got a deadbolt. My dogs will let me know if anybody is around. I got a baseball bat.>> Police are asking the public for tips that could lead to Watson's capture.
