>> The aftermath of the suicide bomb attack on a NATO convoy in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul. Eight civilians were killed and at least 25 wounded in the explosion during morning rush hour. Emergency services swarming the scene near the U.S. Embassy, one of the busiest areas of the city. The convoy of armored personnel carriers is used by the NATO-led resolute support mission.
A spokesman says three US service members were wounded but the vehicles they were travelling in are designed to withstand large blast and returned to a coalition base under their own power. A number of civilian vehicles were destroyed or badly damaged in the bombing. The attack follows a threat by the Taliban to target foreign forces in the Spring offensive launched last week.
