>> A federal judge in Arkansas, Saturday, temporarily blocking the state's plans to hold six executions in just ten days. After inmates argued the rush to the death chamber was unconstitutional and reckless. Arkansas, which has not carried out an execution in 12 years, planned to kill the convicted murderers beginning Monday.
Before its current supply of the lethal injection drug Midazolam would expire at the end of April. Midazolam has resulted in botched executions in several states, including Alabama, Arizona, Ohio and Oklahoma. Where an inmate suffered for 40 minutes before dying of a heart attack. Arkansas is expected to appeal Saturday’s ruling.
