>> One police officer shot dead and at least three people wounded in Paris Thursday night, after gun fire erupted on the Champs-Elysees. Authorities say, the attacker was killed on the world famous boulevard that had to be shut down as law enforcement secured the area. Islamic State now claiming responsibility.
French President Francois Hollande, in an address to the nation, saying the incident points to terrorism. During a press conference at the White House, President Trump also echoed the same concerns.>> Well first of all, our condolences from our country to the people of France. Again, it looks like another terrorist attack.
And what can you say? Just never ends.>> Just days before Sunday's closely watched presidential elections. The French prosecutor's office announced an investigation has been opened with the counter terrorism unit, though the attacker's motives have not been confirmed.
