ndreds of thousands of Venezuelans clashing with police firing tear gas Wednesday, during the so called mother of all marches in Caracas. Reuters' correspondent, Juries Gupta.>> The mother of all marches has descended into chaos. They've got tear gas here from the National Guard, they're using rubber bullets.
They're using water cannons against thousands of protestor here in Caracas and across the country. The anti-government march turned deadly when a young man was hit by gunfire, taken to a hospital, and later died. Many protestorss accuse President Nicolas Maduro of resorting to dictatorial measures to quash popular outreach over a deepening economic crisis.
Snaking grocery lines are now a common sight and people routinely say they skip meals and cannot find basic medication. Now Venezuelans across the country are demanding the government present timelines for delayed elections, halt to security crackdown on protests, and respect the autonomy of the opposition led legislature.>>
