>> Gunman have attacked a group of Coptic christians in Egypt who were traveling on these buses. Killing at lease 28 people mainly children and injuring 24 others who are being treated at this nearby hospital. Witnesses say the group were traveling to a monastery in Minya province, south of Cairo, home to a sizable Christian minority.
But their journey was disrupted when unidentified, masked gunmen in three four-wheel drive vehicles opened fire. Coptic Christians make up about 10% of Egypt's population of 92 million. They have been the targets of a string of deadly attacks in recent months. About 70 have been killed in bomb attacks in churches in Kiro, Alexandria, and Tandra since December.
Attacks that were claimed by Islamic states. Security forces were on the hunt for the latest attackers. Setting up dozens of check points and patrols all on the desert roads.
