>> The Theresa May's ruling conservatives that could be trouble around the corner. It's thought prosecutors will announce on Wednesday whether the parties politicians or officials will face charges for breaching expenses rules. The allegations date back to the last general elections in 2015 amidst claims some campaigning costs were wrongly recorded.
Police probes have been conducted in constituencies around the UK. The conservative party claim administrative errors were to blame. The supposed irregularities coming to light after a Channel 4 News investigation. Britain's Crown Prosecution Service is now expected to rule on whether there's been a breach of the law. And the timing could be key.
The UK Prime Minister's Conservatives are sitting pretty in polls. Ahead of a parliamentary vote on June the eighth if candidates are prosecuted the party will have to make a quick call on whether to suspend or replace them. The deadline for candidate registration is Thursday.
