>> The truth, the whole truth.>> Ex-FBI Director James Comey agreeing to testify in an open session before the US Senate Intelligence Committee. The latest development in an unrelenting and damaging week for the White House. The committee on Friday releasing a statement saying, the public hearing will be held after Memorial Day, after Trump returns from his trip overseas.
The announcement coming shortly after yet another embarrassing leak. The Washington Post reporting that a senior advisor was a quote, person of interest in a probe of possible collusion with Russia during last years election campaign. This following reports that Trump bragged to Russian officials in an oval office meeting about firing the man heading that very investigation.
Comey was fired by Trump last week and he has not spoken publicly in the ten days since the controversial dismissal. He'll get his chance to do just that after the upcoming national holiday in what's expected to be one of the most closely watched hearings on Capitol Hill in decades, likely to get great ratings.
