Fewer than one in five residents in America's most populist city voted for Trump many of whom are not pleased that the city is paying $300,000 a day for his family to stay in the city while he sleeps in the White House or Mar a Lago. Though this weeks federal spending deal includes $61 million to reimburse New York and other local governments for providing Trump related security.
On Thursday, demonstrators turning out near the Intrepid where the President is meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. A late arrival, as Trump postponed liftoff to stay in DC to celebrate the house passage of the Obamacare replacement bill his first legislative victory. But Trump won't be staying in town long, opting to sleep at his New Jersey country house for the weekend, not Trump Tower.
