>> Headed to a seventh straight NBA Finals appearance, LeBron James set another milestone Thursday night, surpassing NBA legend Michael Jordan for most all-time points scored in the NBA Playoffs, with a 3-pointer from the left wing in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The shot gave him 29 points for the game, and 5,989 points for his post-season career, to edge him past Jordan's mark of 5,987.
LeBron has called Jordan his idol and the reason why he wears the number 23. He has said the pursuit of Jordan's record was a personal goal. LeBron and the Cavs get set to play the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals next week, where LeBron can add to his record.
