>> Notoriously media-shy, Bob Dylan, finally agreeing to accept the Nobel Prize for Literature, this weekend, after snubbing the ceremony in December, held in Sweden. The award, first announced in October by the Academy.>> For having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition, Bob Dylan. Making him the first ever songwriter and the second American to win the prestigious award.
The 75 year old music legend took two weeks to respond to the announcement, finally saying he was left speechless at the news. Dylan will be in the Swedish capital on tour, and will meet in private to receive his $900,000 prize.
