>> A narrowing lead, but still on course to win the French Presidency. Latest post, Thursday showing centrist Emmanuel Macron, seeding some ground to far right candidate, Marine Le Pen in the May election. In the first round later this month, he'd win 25% to her 24. With both of them down a percentage point from the last survey two weeks ago.
Le Pen has long been expected to do well there though. Macron is still likely to trounce the anti-immigration national front leader in the run off. But now by 62 to her 38% down from 65 to 35. The poll's showing the mood among voters following Tuesday's four hour debate.
The first to include all 11 candidates. A sharp wit bagged surprise gains for far left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon, but Macron's political program convinced the most voters.
