>> Federal officials, Wednesday, say a Mexican attorney general was arrested in San Diego on narcotics trafficking conspiracy charges. Edgar Veytia, the top law enforcement officer of Nayarit, was taken into custody Monday. The tiny agricultural state of Nayarit has been hard hit by drug cartel violence in recent years.
Envacia is accused of plotting with unnamed conspirators in the US to manufacture, import and distribute unspecified quantities of heroine, cocaine, meth and marijuana between 2013 and 2017.
