>> The Russian bank under western economic sanctions has disclosed that its executives met with Jared Kushner. President Donald Trump's son-in-law and aide is to be questioned over alleged Trump Russia ties. Kushner has agreed to testify before the US Senate committee investigating suspected Russian interference in the US election.
The top White House Advisor had previously acknowledged meeting the Russian Ambassador to Washington last December. But now it's emerged he also met with executives from Russia's State Development Vnesheconombank during a bank roadshow that same month. There has been no immediate comment from Kushner. US Intelligence Agencies accused Russia of hacking senior Democratic party members and spreading disinformation.
It's the scandal that Trump can't shake. The President has branded the allegations fake news. Trump's first National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, has already been one casualty after being forced to resign after revelations that he discussed the US sanctions on Russia with their US ambassador. The President will be hoping there won't be anymore.
