Pittsburgh coffee shop is brewing up controversy, featuring punch cards with the face of President Donald Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence, along with other prominent conservatives. Black Forge Coffee shop owner say it started as a joke. They say they've had cards featuring political figures since they opened in 2015.
But the cafe is now getting angry phone calls and emails from people across the country. Saying that they wanna put bullets in our head and say that they hope that we burn inside of our building.>> Disparaging comments about the shop are popping up on Facebook and Yelp.
>> We're not condoning any sort of violence, we're not condoning any sort of hate. It's just our way of expressing ourselves.>> Repeat customers say they'll keep coming back for the java, yet they say they can see how these cards would be offensive to some.>> People get offended by red Starbucks cups.
Something like this that's gonna generate controversy and it's a very big political statement, I'm not surprised by how it got. But, I think it's a good business move because it gets people talking.>> The owners say the coffee is flowing, and the customers keep pouring in.
