>> Parishioners of Burnett Chapel Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee, embracing after a deadly shooting at their service on Sunday. Officials identified the gunman as Emanuel Kidega Samson. Police say Samson arrived wearing a mask, fatally shot church goer Melanie Smith who was leaving, and then entered the church and opened fire.
>> Six individuals, innocent people were hit by gunfire. They all are at local hospitals, all in stable condition expected to recover.>> Police say a Church usher confronted Samson who suffered what officials thought was a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the struggle. Police say the usher then got his own gun from his car and held Samson at gunpoint until police arrived.
Among those wounded was the Pastor Joey Span.>> He was a good guy, a long time teacher and basketball coach, a good pastor.>> Samson, who officials say had attended the church two years ago was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital. He now faces charges of murder and attempted murder.
