Where behind me, American Sloane Stephens's won the US Open, marking her first major title. Defeating her friend and countryman, Madison Keys in straight sets, 6-3, 6-Love.
The defensive minded Stevens took over the match from the beginning. Breaking Madison Keys' serve, and then cruising to the finish line without dropping a game in the second set. After two weeks of play, one match remains, and that pits Spanish juggernaut and world number one Rafael Nadal against South African Kevin Anderson.
Nadal will be a heavy favorite against Anderson, who has never played for a Grand Slam title in his career. Anderson can rely on a huge serve, however, it topped out at 132 miles per hour in his semi-final win. But he will be a big underdog against Rafa Nadal, who seeks his sixteenth grand slam title on Sunday
