>> Netflix original shows, including Narcos, continuing to hook new watchers around the world. The video streaming pioneer saying Monday has added 5.3 million subscribers. Reuters reporter Lisa Richwine.>> The growth is really coming from international markets. The US market has matured. Most of the people who want Netflix in the US have already signed up.

But overseas, Internet television is relatively new, and Netflix is really benefitting from customers who are just finding out about it and starting to try it.>> Netflix also forecasting it'll add 6.3 million subscribers for this quarter. And analysts say a strong fourth quarter line up, including the second season of Stranger Things and The Crown, will keep viewers glued.

Still Netflix is facing mounting competition from the likes of Amazon and Hulu, all rolling out their own original content to hook viewers. Netflix said it plans to spend $7 to $8 billion dollars next year on content and released 80 original films.>> Netflix is spending big on content and part because they are finding trouble with traditional distributors like Disney, who don't wanna give their shows to Netflix anymore.
