>> Accused of the murder of British MP Jo Cox, 52-year-old Thomas Mair appeared in court in London on Saturday. When asked to give his name, he responded, my name is death to traitors, freedom for Britain. The Labor Party lawmaker was shot and stabbed in the streets of her Northern England constituency on Thursday.
Her alleged killer lives in the Yorkshire town of Birstall, where Cox was attacked. He's been charged with murder, causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm and another offensive weapon. Cox was in Birstall holding a regular advice session with the people she represented. Her death has spark vigils across the country and brought campaigning for the upcoming referendum on Britain’s European Union membership to standstill.
