>> Handed yet another life sentence. A court in Cairo found former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi guilty of espionage and leaking state secrets. The leader of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, he's already been sentenced in three other cases. He's even been sentenced to death. That verdict was for a mass jailbreak during the 2011 uprising against former president Hosni Mubarak.
The new sentence comes a mid a crack down on the banned Muslim Brotherhood. The charge that Morsi leaks documents to Qatari intelligence. Relations with Qatar have been strained since Morsi's overthrow as he'd been supported by the gulf state. An army take over in 2013 stripped Morsi of his power following mass protests.
Thousands of other brotherhood members are in prison, the group considered a serious threat by Egypt's current president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
