Strong reviews for the belated sequel helping set the studio back on course after its first flop last year, with The Good Dinosaur. The film's success also coming as parent company Disney dominates the box office this year with the three highest grossing films globally. Zootopia, the Jungle Book, and Captain American Civil War.
Finding Dory added another $50 million internationally, including in China where it scored Pixar's biggest ever debut.
