>> A deadly attack on the Syrian-Jordanian border. A car bomb leaving six Jordanian guards dead and wounding 14 others. The vehicle, packed with explosives, detonated a few hundred meters from a camp for Syrian refugees. It's in a desolate eastern area of Jordan, where its borders meet with Iraq and Syria.
The attack, the first of its kind targeting Jordan from Syria since the country's descent into conflict in 2011. Earlier this month, a security office near the Jordanian capital, Amman, was attacked leaving five people dead, including three Jordanian intelligence officers. The U.S. ally has been relatively unscathed by the instability of its neighbors, attacks like these raising questions about the kingdom's vulnerability.
