The committee concluded that there's a very low risk of further international spread of Zika virus as a result of the Olympic and Paralympics, which is already low. At the same time, this risk is even lower, or is low also because in winter, the intensity of transmission of viable viruses in Brazil, and that includes the months of August and September is at it's lowest.
There should be no general restrictions on travelling trade with countries, areas, or territories with Zika virus transmission, including the cities in Brazil that will be hosting Olympics and Paralympics.
