fast growing wildfire that destroyed at least 80 homes in central California still burning Friday morning. The so called Erskine fire erupted in Kern County Thursday afternoon about 40 miles northeast of Bakersfield, engulfing entire structures.>> It was my grandparents' home. I grew up in that house.
And it's not even the things inside of it. It's something you can't replace.>> Evacuation orders were in affect for more than 1000 homes.>> Do you live nearby?>> I live right there.>> Are you evacuate?>> No.>> Within hours the flame had consumed over 5000 acres of dry woods and grass.
The Kern County Fire Department live streaming the chaos on Facebook.>> I've never been in a wildland fire where I've seen so many homes burn.>> Nearly 5,000 firefighters elsewhere battle to control several major wildfires ranging from a national forest near Oregon to desert brush near the Mexican border.
