>> A man arrested over the weekend at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas, telling an investigator he wanted to kill the candidate according to court papers. Michael Steven Sandford, a 19-year-old British National, was arrested after trying to wrestle a gun from a police officer at the Treasure Island Hotel.
Sandford later telling a secret service agent he had driven from California to Las Vegas with the goal of shooting Trump, something he claimed he had been planning for about a year. He is charged with committing an act of violence on restricted ground. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 5th.
Court records show Sandford went to the Battlefield Vegas gun range on Friday, where he practiced shooting from a Glock 9mm handgun, adding that he had never fired a gun before. He later told investigators if he were quote, on the street tomorrow, he would try again to kill Trump.
