nnnnn israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu clinging to power wednesday but just barely the prime minister struck a coalition deal winning over support of the far right religious jewish home party and securing sixty one seats for himself in israel's one hundred twenty member knesset , netanyahu's right wing nationalist likud party won thirty seats in a march parliamentary election but bibi as he's known had until wednesday night to inform the nation's president he had enough support to form a government , israel's election drying international attention netanyahu's much publicized speech to the u. s. congress before the polls , seen by critics as an election stunt , you now commands just a one seat majority in a coalition made up of several smaller centrist religious and right wing factions , which could make governing a challenge , d. v. is now the second longest serving prime minister of israel and if he survives until two thousand nineteen when the next election is scheduled he will have held office longer than even the nation's founding prime minister david ben gurion
