nnnnn mcdonald's new c. e. o. steve easterbrook unveiled his much anticipated turnaround plan monday and his moves are both sweeping and specific from reorganizing the company and re franchising restaurants , testing all day breakfast and a delivery service in new york city , to combat falling sales the company will now be carved into four segments , the u. s. where sales have slipped for six straight quarters international lead markets such as the u. k. where a turnaround has started to take hold , high growth markets like china and foundational markets made up of roughly one hundred other countries , mcdonald's will also grief franchise restaurants meaning it will sell company owned stores to franchisees to cut costs and improve cash flow , the plan calls for ninety percent of mcdonald's restaurants to be franchised by twenty eighteen up from the current eighty one percent , and a new all day breakfast menu will be tested along with a home delivery service for new york city residents via the website post mates dot com starting today , easterbrook says the moves should save the company three hundred million dollars by twenty seventeen
