Moonlight earning six nods in all, including Best Dramatic Film, the second highest next to La La Land's seven, nominated for Best Comedy or Musical Film.
Moving to TV, newcomer Atlanta on FX about two cousins navigating that city's hip hop scene, among the Best Comedy picks. Mr. Robot star, Rami Malek, of Egyptian descent, a top contender for Dramatic Actor. Among the tightest races, Best TV Drama. NBC's This is Us, the lone broadcast choice.
Others include Netflix series The Crown and Stranger Things, along with HBO's Westworld, and you guessed it, Game of Thrones. The 74th Golden Globe Awards voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press air January 8th.
