Canadian born Thicke, suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his real life son Carter, posting this photo of the two on Twitter last year.
But it's his popstar son Robin fans may know best, the Blurred Lines singer telling the LA Times his Dad was quote the greatest man I ever met. The elder Thicke, also a musician, his lesser known credits include writing some of TV's best known theme songs, including the music for Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, and Wheel of Fortune, sometimes in partnership with former wife and soap opera star Gloria Loring.
Thicke had recently shot a guest appearance on the Netflix series, Fuller House. He was 69.>>
