suspect has been shot and killed by police following an attack at Ohio State University. The incident was initially reported as an active shooter situation, with university officials urging those potentially in the line of fire to run, hide, and fight. But there was no shooting.>> About 9:52 AM, a male suspect drove a vehicle over the curb, struck pedestrians.
He exited the vehicle and used a butcher knife to start cutting pedestrians. Our officer was on scene in less than a minute, and he ended the situation less than a minute. He engaged the suspect, and he eliminated the threat.>> At least nine people had been hospitalized, but hospital officials said there were no life-threatening injuries.
Officials say it's too early to speculate on the motivation, or level of premeditation, or whether the attack was related to terrorism.
