Elaine Chow, former Labor Secretary under George W Bush, and wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, selected to lead the Department of Transportation.
A position that could pack a lot of punch with Trump's pledge to spend a trillion dollars on infrastructure. Trump also tapping Tom Price, a six term Republican Congressman from Georgia and staunch Obamacare critic, for Health and Human Services Secretary. Price is embraced by conservatives and close to House Speaker Paul Ryan, Reuters Jilian Mincer.
>> Well it wasn't a surprised pick it was a disappointing pick for many people in the women's healthcare arena. It has a long history of opposing funding to planned parenthood he has a history of being against abortion. One of the things he has not wanted is for contraceptives to be covered under the Affordable Care Act or healthcare legislation.
And people have gotten used to that and it's become a very, very important benefit for many, many people.>> An early Trump supporter, Price is an orthopedic surgeon who put forth his own healthcare plan in 2009. It included fixed tax credits so people can buy their own private insurance and the expansion of health savings accounts.
Trump has vowed to repeal Obamacare but has also said he would consider keeping parts of it in place after meeting with President Obama. And on Tuesday another long time politico, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani meeting with Trump to discuss the post of Secretary of State.
